Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our team as a Team Leader on a temporary basis at The Manor Hospital in Bedford, Bedfordshire. As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the anaesthetic team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
In this role, you will be expected to lead by example, providing clinical expertise and guidance to the team to ensure high standards of patient care and safety are maintained. You will be responsible for delegating tasks, monitoring workflow, and supporting the team to achieve their objectives.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be required to liaise with colleagues, patients, and other healthcare professionals on a daily basis. You must also be able to work well under pressure and make quick decisions in high-stress situations.
As an Anaesthetic Practitioner - Team Leader, your duties will include preparing the anaesthetic room and equipment, assisting with patient assessments, administering anaesthesia, monitoring patient vital signs during procedures, and providing post-operative care. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and adhering to infection control protocols.
This is a temporary position with a start date of 24/01/2025 and an end date of 24/01/2025. The shift will start at 08:00:00 and end at 18:00:00, with a payment rate of £290.30 per shift.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse qualification
- Previous experience as an Anaesthetic Practitioner
- Leadership and management skills
- Knowledge of anaesthetic techniques and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
