Circle Health Group is seeking an experienced ODP Anaesthetics to join our team at The Saxon Clinic in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. This temporary position offers a competitive payment rate of £315.90 per shift, providing you with the opportunity to showcase your skills and expertise in a state-of-the-art healthcare facility.
As an ODP Anaesthetics, you will be responsible for assisting with the administration and monitoring of anesthesia for surgical procedures. You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and safety throughout the perioperative process.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
1. Preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment
Ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available for use during surgical procedures. Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of anesthesia machines, monitors, and other related equipment.
2. Monitoring patient vital signs
Assist with the continuous monitoring of patient vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and temperature. Recognize and respond to any changes in patient status promptly and effectively.
3. Assisting with anesthesia administration
Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other team members to administer anesthesia to patients according to prescribed protocols. Monitor patient responses to anesthesia and adjust dosages as needed to maintain optimal sedation levels.
4. Providing patient care and support
Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients undergoing anesthesia. Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Ensure that patients are properly positioned and prepared for anesthesia administration.
5. Documenting patient care activities
Accurately record all relevant patient care activities, including anesthesia administration, vital sign monitoring, and postoperative recovery. Maintain detailed and organized patient records in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
